My edits to @mbobra last PR. Here is a summary of what my changes and justification. I think it looks really good and the goals of my edits were to strengthen what was there.
changed adopt to transition to mirror in wording in following paragraph.
refactored sentence about SSW and shortened
removed a few more mentions of IDL
removed referring to the ecosystem as the primary reason to adopt python because they are all strong
fixed sentence about interdisciplinary. The ending mentioned the greater scientific community which didn't feel right next to mentions of disciplines.
moved the statement about cultural factors down one paragraph. It originally preceded the paragraph that talks about how python is free, and popular which I would not consider a cultural factor.
reworded the paragraph about the culture of python development to talk about inclusivity and licensing
