I'm using translate-shell and none of the 'web translate' features, so I don't know if this aplies to them too.

Anytime I want to look up a word containing accents, the word is cut to before the accent. Makes me think this extension doesn't handle utf-8 properly.

Examples:

Edit: no matter which url is used as translator (google, DeepL, LibreTranslate) making me think the error is in url encoding. Using translate-shell directly in terminal does not have the same effect, there it works fine.

  • mañana -> looks up 'ma'
  • cómo -> looks up 'c'
  • pingüino -> 'ping'

I tried these words on my system, the full word can be translated, there is no problem. I don't know what affect it.

Did you see this extensions settings? There is a translate-shell switch, you can turn on it.

That is exactly what I am refering to. I'm using translate-shell as backend and no 'web translate' features.
