Bug: postgresql.conf is full of queries #231

Describe the bug

I run a superbase docker containers in digital ocean droplet. I didn't change the docker-compose file The problem is that file /var/log/postgresql/postgresql.csv in supabase-db container is full of the same queries. A query is made every ~10 milliseconds (37kB/s disk writing). Query:

172.23.0.5 it is ip of supabase-rest container. This query is from walrus

There is a similar issue

@Sheepsticked this is not a bug and something we intended b/c we wanted postgres logs. i think the simplest thing you can do is to set log_statement to none.

also, https://github.com/supabase/realtime/issues/61 is unrelated.

@w3b6x9 Thank you for your answer. I have changed supabase realtime version and log_statement to none but logs are still writing. I've tried a lot with postgresql.conf but nothing helps. Sorry for my incompetence My postgresql.conf:

@Sheepsticked this looks good. did you make these changes to a running database server? if so, can you try reloading with something like SELECT pg_reload_conf();?

I just ran into this issue also, while trying to get better logging output from postgres while developing locally with the supabase CLI. I'm still on postgres 13 where log_statement is none by default and I've confirmed that in psql:

postgres@supabase_db_hub/postgres=# show log_statement;
 log_statement 
---------------
 none
(1 row)

I've found a few other cases of people finding this sort of message noisy/annoying, but no solutions other than manually filtering:

I'm probably going to add a drop publication if exists supabase_realtime; SQL command into my seed.sql for now, because I'm not currently using realtime. I'll probably use realtime in the future, though, and it would be nice to have a better solution for this!
