Rota: calendar layout of individual events

• If viewed by normal user, show a [Sign Up] button for events that don’t require approval, and a [Request] for events that do.
  • Only show the above button if users array length < people needed
• If viewed by team lead / co-lead, show list of users requiring approval, with yes / no UI [x / tickmark, perhaps]
  • Alternately, change color for shift events with pending approvals, and click to see a popup containing them
  • An event has pending approvals if requiresApproval is true and requests.length > 0

Question for display: Should we show user names already signed up / approved?

• This would make it easier for people to sign up for shifts with people they like / avoid people they don’t like working with

Absolutely yes. My vote goes for transparency as a standard, and shadowing only when necessary (sensitive info and such). For rotas, I don't see any info that would need to be kept from public eyes.
