At the moment annotations made in Xodo or in Drawboard aren't visible in SMA PDF.
However, any PDF annotator can flatten annotations, so that they become part of the PDF-image itself, instead of extra-markup. This makes them uneditable, but if one uses annotations with PDFs bound for SuperMemo, SMA PDF would be the last step of the workflow, anyway, so that's all right.
But it would help if users were told this somewhere, instead of having to google the issue.
