I have a number of hashtags I'd like to follow that are related to some of the folks I have in a particular list (in my case it's primarily the #MiniaturePainting hashtag and some of the adjacent ones for games I play like #WarhammerUnderworlds and #KillTeam), but unfortunately following a hashtag just means that all of those posts end up in my home timeline which quickly gets overwhelmed. Being able to follow a hashtag and put it into an exclusive list where I can dip in and out would be amazing.

The ability to add a hashtag to an exclusive list and have posts with that hashtag show up only in that list and not my home timeline.
