Word interesting, what's the convention behind restoring purchases instead of instantiating new ones?

If you’re on a new device (let’s say your ipad when you signed up on your iphone) you need to be able to restore purchases instead of purchasing again.

Pretty much anything purchased through apple has to work across all your devices, present and future.
