PT-BR translation #6

Hi,

I am an enthusiastic mutant player. I am very interested in translating your material but I have no programming skills. Are you interested in that?

Hi, everything is mostly straight forward to translate except skill names, but I can see to make them translatable too. Let me see what I can do about skills and I can send you a file for translation. it is a simple process replacing english words in that file. Thanks for offering to translate!

thanks for the return. I did this but in some cases, the program stopped working or did not modify the field. When you're ready, send me the files that I need to change and which terms I have to change. It will be a pleasure to work on it. Have an excellent 2021.

I am still thinking of the proper way to translate skill names since they are premade entities (items). In the meantime you can check this JSON file for translation. https://raw.githubusercontent.com/superseva/mutant-year-zero/master/lang/en.json It contains key-value pairs of words I am using. You can copy it to note++ or any text editor, save it as my.json and replace the values. For Example : "MYZ.INFO": "Info" MYZ.INFO is the key (don't change) "Info" is the value. you can always check your json file structure in one of the json online validators. After you have the file send it to me so I can include it into the system.

Hi Happy new year,bro   I translated a large part of the file, but I was unsure of what "VIP" means. VIP = NPCs? For skills, I made a compendium in my world for them.I can send the json to you few hours after your reply. Thanks

Hm. There is no VIP there. This should be the en.json https://raw.githubusercontent.com/superseva/mutant-year-zero/master/lang/en.json

Hi, it would be nice to have the Swedish lang too. Here is the file for translation. leave the keys in english and you can translate the values.

For Example : "MYZ.INFO": "Info" MYZ.INFO is the key (don't change) "Info" is the value. (change) Thanks

Hi, it would be nice to have the Swedish lang too. Here is the file for translation. Sometimes its hard to see/understand exactly what that each value is refering to.

Hm, you can locally change files on your computer (under Data/systems/mutant-year-zero folder. You need to change system.json and add sv.json to the lang folder

  1. Go to Data/systems/mutant-year-zero/lang copy en.json and rename it to "sv.json"
  2. Add this to the system.json right after portuguese (don't forget the comma after portuguese ): { "lang": "sv", "name": "Swedish", "path": "lang/sv.json" } this will tell the system to look for the sv.json in lang folder.

All of the changes will be overridden if you update the system since this is just a temporary way for you to preview the files

Hi, I messed up somehow, all lables in the char sheet now looks like this:

Hey Clawens, github doesn't display what you have posted as an example. Can you send me the example on my mail superseva@gmail.com I will close this portuguese language issue thread and you can open issue for Swedish language so we can continue
