Select "new player", try to type a name... won't work

Author: auria ok this was OSX-only, and an unwanted side-effect of one of the changes I did to the irrlicht OSX device (yes, I have a very much customized irrlicht-osx-device here, the vanilla one has quite a few bugs and my patches aren't being applied)
