From SVN log it appears that the alltrack gp was removed by accident (the commit log documents an unrelated change).

No this was not an accident, I did delete this GP. I just didn't see a good way to integrate it in challenges. all other GPs need to be played to win story mode, and I certainly didn't want to require players to play an all-tracks GP to finish the game. besides I'm surprised anyone would want to play that.

Something that I think could be a better replacement is to code a "random GP". This pops a dialog where you select how many tracks you want to play, and it generates a random GP for you. Then you could select all 16 or so tracks. This is just brainstorming, I'm not committing myself to implementing that!

Author: hikerstk I don't think that the all-tracks GP needs to be played in order to unlock it - just unlock it when the final challenge is beaten. And I am admit that I am surprised, too - but we heard that more than once.

The problem with random GP is (imho) the number of laps - perhaps we should add a number-of-laps-in-gp setting to the track.xml files? Or perhaps 'recommended-number-of-laps' - which could be the default, so that people could expect a certain amount of time per track, independent if it is a long or a short track (and they can still change this number)
