submitting a sitemap on an https only site #266

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. i have my entire site behind https
2. create a compliant sitemap at https://www.cvillecouncil.us/sitemap.xml
3. the redirect renders as html - the URL errors out 

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

apache, ubuntu 14.04 ...

Please provide any additional information below.

https://www.drupal.org/project/xmlsitemap is the tool i'm using to generate the 
sitemap

what an idiot...  went to the screen and added the site with the https:// in 
front of the domain..  everything works fine now
