configuration problem #207

I recently installed tunnelblick on my mac,
i didn't have any problems until yesterday, i noticed that i couldn't access
tunnelblick when i put my mouse on the icon "tunnelblick" it was loading
...just loading so i thought there was a bug...but i couldn't quit tunnelblick
to load it again so i just delete and re-installed it.
It was a mistake...because since i did it, i can't do anything anymore, it just
show me that message : (sorry it's in french)

Add a configuration:

"Généralement, les configurations sont installées à partir des fichiers
fournis par votre administrateur réseau ou fournisseur d’accès VPN.

Les fichiers de configuration ont les extensions « .tblk », « .ovpn »,
ou « .conf ».

(Il y a peut-être d’autres fichiers associés à la configuration, qui ont
d’autres extensions ; ne les prenez pas en compte pour l'instant.)

Avez-vous des fichiers de configuration ?"

I really don't know what to do, the only options i have on tunnelblick are
"adding VPN" "details VPN" "Quit tunnelblick"

when i click on "adding VPN" it shows me the message i copied up
when i click on "details VPN" there is no configurations, no message...
And when i click on the "+" , it shows me again the message up...

Do you know what to do ?
Thank you

There seem to be a couple of problems here.

First, when you got the "Tunnelblick is loading" message that didn't go away:
There are two things that usually cause that:

(1) Tunnelblick is attempting to check that it has been installed correctly,
and is having a problem that causes it to retry several times. This can take up
to a minute or two, during which time the Tunnelblick icon in the menu bar does
not respond.

(2) Tunnelblick has a window open asking you for input (for example, for your
computer administrator password to secure itself). If there is a different
window on top of it -- covering it up -- then you don't see the window and
Tunnelblick is waiting for you to respond.

So you might want to consider if either of those things was the cause of your
original problem.

=======

Your current situation is different. Tunnelblick does not see any of your
configurations.

Configurations can be in any of several locations, but where they should be
depends on your original installation of Tunnelblick. Where did you get the
configurations for your original installation? If you installed Tunnelblick by
itself, without any configurations, it may be that you installed a "Deployed"
version of Tunnelblick. A "Deployed" version contains configurations inside of
the application.

So where did your original configurations -- and your original copy of
Tunnelblick -- come from?
