Bug in PluXml #9

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. In PluXml, install Whizzywig from this archive :
http://telechargements.pluxml.org/addons/editors/editor.whizzywig.zip
2. select Whizzywig as main editor.
3. Create a new article with an empty "chapô" field (don't know the english
name, sorry. This is the first field of the article.)
4. Save the article

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

It sould save an empty chapô field but a <br> appears in the HTML code. So you
can't read the entire article in the blog, you got to click on "read more".

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Version 61

Please provide any additional information below.

i use PluXml on an OVH server. I edit my articles with Iceweasel (firefox)
4.0.1, in Debian Squeeze.

Oh, and sorry for my very ugly English, I'm french.

I don't have access to PluXML or Iceweasel.

I'm guessing that IceWeasel behaves the same as Firefox and adds a <br /> to an
empty edit area. Can't change Whizzywig to clear the field if it only contains
white space because that would bug the users who *intentionally* added white
space!

Your solution is to raise a bug with PluXML and get them to clear white space
from the field.

Or use Chromium instead of IceWeasel, which (almost certainly) wouldn't add the
<br />

Your English, c'est magnifique!
