for what?, OC 8.X need too many requeriments now! i using OC 7 and runs bettter (more faster in older machines) remenber that we taking about production server, not just machines for kids play as administrator!

On my FreeBSD production server, there is only OC 8.X

Sorry to jump in here but that's just a complete misinformation. ownCloud 8.x is:

  1. Faster than ownCloud 7
  2. Better maintained and has less bugs

Even the big enterprise customers of ownCloud such as CERN are on 8.x. Furthermore ownCloud 7.x will be end-of-life soon and currently only receives security patches. We do highly recommend using ownCloud 8 instead of older ownCloud 7 versions. See also http://blog.jospoortvliet.com/2015/12/five-reasons-to-upgrade-your-owncloud.html

I can confirm this doesn't work on 8.2

@LukasReschke - can you update the app's info page to state that it's no longer supported? It's currently listed as 'supported up to owncloud 9' https://apps.owncloud.com/content/show.php?content=165887

@pjrobertson Thats normally something the app developer should to by providing a sane appinfo/info.xml with the correct supported versions.

@LukasReschke i have a power very good Dell PowerEgde 1550 with 1Gb RAM and 4Tb SCSI disk.. this hardware are slower with newer software, so i used specific own made and mantained, buildOC 8.X need php 5.4 that in teory need more cycles of CPU rather than other php, also has more lines of code and more conditionals in every request..

OC 8.X does not perform well in this very good Dell PowerEgde 1550 older mainframe and of course are very few but i do not buy a new rack only due OC 8 "its better", i have a currently i have running a OC 6 with patches track by me and other in the job (i hate php but well) and we have a total of 3000 users and around a 200 +/- onlyne at max..

OC for that need much more hardware yeah?
