portal_tabs disapear after activating Go Mobile Convergence #23

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.install on Plone 4 mfabrik.webandmobile
2.activate Go Mobile Convergence
3. any tabs listed in portal_tabs disappear 

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expected the objects in portal_tabs to remain, they disappear, adding new 
ones has no effect, auto generated navigation tabs such as news/users etc 
remain and the home link remains on the side nav

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Plone 4.0.1, go mobile 0.9.4, go mobile 0.9.3 go mobile convergence 0.9.2

Please provide any additional information below.
I have repeated this behavior on a different server and clean buildout, only 
happens after activating convergence, no errors in log or traceback
