Empty zone creation borked if zoomed in

I've sometimes ended up with a zone seemingly unable to play notes. Or perhaps just confused about where it's actually located. Something like that... further investigation needed.

hmmm an empty zone worked for me zoomed in just now but zoom certainly feels a little borked on my mbp
