gyp generated bad projects if not run from the top of the source tree on windows #30

If you run gyp from somewhere other than the top of the source tree on windows, 
it generates 
junked up slns that show only one of the vcproj files.
Path handling likely got messed up at some point.

Needs some additional characterization.  If it's still a problem, it might be 
related to 
use of os.path.join() in input.py.  Not actively hurting any current customers.
