Quickmeme support in Gmail and TheOldReader.com

Issue regarding RSS (Nothing to do with Google Reader):

This is NOT a Google Reader issue.

1a. Subscribe to http://www.reddit.com/r/meme/.rss in TheOldReader

OR

1b. Subscribe to http://www.reddit.com/r/meme/.rss via RSS-to-Email and have 
the link in Gmail or other web-based email.

2. Scroll through the list hovering on each [link] to zoom images
3. Any images at quickmeme.com or qkme.me will not zoom, and other meme 
services do not enlarge.

The odd thing is that all the quickmeme.com/qkme.me links zoom properly when 
you hover on them at http://www.reddit.com/r/meme, they just don't work in:

a) TheOldReader.com - A very common RSS reader now

b) Gmail - when RSS is delivered to a email address
