I keep GMail, Calendar, and other apps open as full-screen 'windowed app shortcuts' to make jumping between them more natural with Alfred. Though they are essentially just sandboxed Chrome instances, they identify as app_mode_loader and cause the first script filter to return app_mode_loader is not supported by this workflow at this time.
The method I used to create the shortcut is hamburger -> More Tools -> Create Shortcut... and then selecting Open as window in the resulting dialog.
