Nah, that's intentional here. I have a similar typeface (not rounded) that is duospace-ish...it actually has one more width, which is why it is called Trispace. Check it out http://github.com/etcetera-type-co/trispace
great stylistic alternates: a, g, j, m, and r. i, l, especially: t make rather large gaps. (redraw? remove? Duospace?)
