Something isn't right with breakpoints I guess.

Do you think it would make sense to go with a different style there? The layout flow could become different.

Yes!

  1. I think we should separate books and meta (author, etc.)
  2. Would be cool to show all three covers at the very top, but I'm afraid with three-column layout columns would be too long.

But maybe you don't need that much text on the homepage?

The copy can be condensed, yeah. I think that will help with a three column layout too.
