Hi,
wouldn't it be great if tunesremote+ would listen for certain intents?
It could be controlled by Tasker, so you could automate your music depending on 
certain conditions.
What I would like to achieve is controlling my MediaMonkey with my Pebble 
smartwatch. The only thing missing is an API for tunesremote+.
At a first step, Play/Pause and Skip Track would be great.

Have you tried the free Retune for Android...

It blows TR+ away and it supports Pebble!
