I have looked a bit through all the (web) GUI's, but I'm not sure if one of them
supports a public API (like JSON-RPC or XML-RPC). Do you know of any? Even 
then, is
this the way to go, since there are so many? It would be nicer if mldonkey 
would has
it's own direct API, but I don't think so...

mldonkey has :D HTTP/FTP
* Controlled by Telnet, Web interface or various GUIs
