senior lawman message #189

I'm not entirely sure how to interpret this comment, but it looks like the
attempt to show s.t. to the deputy might be triggering the "senior lawman
present" text even if the marshal (the general?) isn't present.

====
I think I found a bug. I even followed the available walkthrough to make
sure I wasn't doing anything wrong.

Since it appears near the end of the game, I'm using spoiler tags.

Spoiler
When you have all the evidence against the Sheriff, you're supposed to
wake the Deputy in order to show him the evidence. However, and maybe
I'm doing something wrong, waking him up only makes him go back to
sleep, and then General doesn't arrive in order for you to show the
evidence to him. I can't show the evidence to anybody because the game
thinks the general is there and gives me the "senior lawman" message.

I have a similar problem, although Im still playing the game and havent read
the walkthrough

After waking the deputy and getting out of the cell..

> examine deputy => He's lying unconcious on the floor, just next to the jail
cell
(but hes not, he already woke)

> ask deputy about receipt => The marshal interjects, "Address your remarks to
me"
(but the marshall hasnt arrived yet, and doesnt arrive until you attempt to
leave the building after finding the documents)
