Muddy's plan done landed you and your partner in the hoosegow. Now you're fixing to rectificate the matter before the marshal introduces you to the business end of a hangin' rope at dawn.
If you're carrying the stool and try "stand on stool" it says "You can only
get into something free-standing." Which is really confusing, but
eventually I figured out it means that I had to drop the stool first (I
didn't realize I had picked it up when I put the bar in the socket). A
better error message is needed ("get into" is just wrong), and it might be
nice if it figured out to drop it first automatically.
