sussman / rovers-day-out

Three hundred years ago, the Brazilian Space Agency discovered a rocky exoplanet only 38 light years from Earth. With a surface temperature of 1200 Celsius and nine times Earth's gravity, it's hardly the sort of place you'd take your dog walkies. Most days.

unhelpful error when opening front door during Back to Mars #127

If the player opens the front door during the denoument (hoping that Rover
will drop what he's doing and rush out as usual), the message "ROVER
release is not the current task" is displayed and the action fails.

OK, so my cunning plan failed. But the message resembles a generic
"missing default in switch statement" error message, and it should be
replaced with some appropriate narrative.

This comment arrived after the scene setup had changed. While it's a good idea,
the
door is already open now at the beginning of the scene, and this factors into
the
dialogue. The "Rover task" comment will only issue if the door is closed, and I
haven't been able to reproduce this message during the "Back on Mars" scene.
