Bing Chat #117

The new Bing Chat bot in skype isn't being synched in skyperious. It must be being stored offline as my conversations with this bot appear across all devices. Is there any plan to enable this in a future update?

Since Skyperious is using an unofficial third-party library for communicating with Skype servers (https://github.com/Terrance/SkPy), it is really not up to me.

Tried the Bing bot myself, and while I can see my history with it in Skype across devices, its contact and messages are completely missing in all responses from live servers. At the moment, not anything I can do from my side.

Many thanks for the reply, I've now left a similar issue on the SkPy github and will come back when I get a reply there.

The SkPy dev isn't having any problem connecting with the chatbot. He suggested that you join in the issue's conversation to hopefully get this resolved

Was the other thread helpful? Is it possible to get Bing chat working with this?

Apologies, I planned to wait for the other discovered bug to get fixed in skpy, and quite forgot about this.

Since it looks like the other bug is not getting fixed, made a workaround for it. Can you try https://erki.lap.ee/stuff/skyperious_5.5.dev6_x64.exe and see how it fares?

Yes, this is working - many thanks :)

EDIT: it did throw up an odd error in the synchronizing chats entries " Querying recent chats.. skpy\msg.py:238: MarkupResemblesLocatorWarning: The input looks more like a filename than markup. You may want to open this file and pass the filehandle into Beautiful Soup." but this doesnt seem to affect the database.

Fixed the warning popup as well.
