It seems this package wont work on lion and mountain lion. Don't know I am installing it wrong or it really not support for them.

suvash commented 12 years ago

What exactly is the problem, Could you elaborate ? as it works just fine on my Mountain Lion installation.

Screenshots would be helpful (Cmd+Shift+3 / Cmd+Shift+4)

Thanks for quick reply. First, I tried to install the package, which installs successfully. Then I restarted the system. So I should be seeing Nepali Romanized Pro in Language & Text -> Input sources after restart. But I cant see it.

My Mac OS X version is 10.7.4

I am new to Mac so don't know my way around many things. Thanks for your help.

Hmm.. that's very weird ! Can you tell me the contents of the folder "/Library/Keyboard Layouts/" in your OSX.

( Hint: In Finder Cmd+Shift+G and paste /Library/Keyboard Layouts/ )

If it's empty, try to run the installer again and let me know id the folder is still empty.

I don't have a Lion machine at the moment, but will do my best to help.

There is a file named "Nepali Romanized Pro.icns" in /Library/Keyboard Layouts/

And there is "AppleKeyboardLayouts.bundle" file in /System/Library/Keyboard Layouts/ folder. Should I try copying .icns file over there ?

suvash commented 12 years ago

Hmm... so there's only a "Nepali Romanized Pro.icns" file. That is quite strange. I will update the installer later today. Maybe you could try to use that. In the meantime, you could delete the "Nepali Romanized Pro.icns" file and run the installer again to see if it works.

Apologies, I know that one has to restart and it sucks, but I can't do much about it.

suvash commented 12 years ago

I just tried to reproduce the bug on my system by totalling deleting all related files and running the installer again. And it works fine on mine(Mountain Lion). but it shouldn't be an OS issue.

Still let me know what works and what doesn't.

sujanshrestha commented 12 years ago

Can i delete that file and re download the package and re install. i don't mind to restart the system. Is there any other files in other location I need to delete ?

sujanshrestha commented 12 years ago

I have deleted and re installed the package but still I cant see the Nepali Romanized Pro option in settings. I will try again after you update.

Thanks for your help.

Although it's really hard to debug your problem, I've added a new download with some updates at https://github.com/suvash/nepali-romanized-pro/downloads

Please run it and let me know if it makes things better.

Hey Suvash, The last update you made did the trick. Good job. I can see the option in configuration. So whatever you changed, its working. Thanks a lot for your help.

Cool ! Glad to hear that it's working for you now. Do open more issues if you have any problems, even suggestions. Cheers !
