User Story: Search and Discovery

Size: Medium

Priority: Medium

Reasoning: Establishing a taxonomy for content description and creating a schema for standardizing content metadata during our first sprint will have multiple benefits down the road. It will help ensure that when content is ingested it will be properly serialized and indexed with all relevant information, allowing for better discoverability by users and data management by site administrators. This work will also help to inform any data modeling efforts which may need to be undertaken for storage, retrieval, and display purposes.

Created topic branch content-metadata.

In the branch associated with this issue I've added a markdown file with some metadata planning notes. I compiled some terms and vocabularies in order to help standardize what metadata is collected and created once we start pulling in poetry and image content. While I think more is better, we may be able to get away with requiring just a few like Creator, Title, Date Created, Format, Type, and License and make the rest optional.

I added a form so users can search for poems by genre. I created the controlled vocabulary using Harvard's Glossary of Poetic Genres.
