Questions to answer from benchtop motor tests:
1. How long does it take the motor to cool down.
Proposed procedure: run the motor for 5 minutes with continuous current, observe the temperature of the motor while running and after switching off.
Purpose: Get a feeling if heat transport is sufficient for continuous operation and if any parts of the motors are affected.
2. Peak-current duty cycle (sinusoidal)
Proposed procedure: apply a half-sine wave with a defined amplitude above peak current and vary the pause between two waves, find applicable frequencies and duty cycles
Purpose: Determine what torque profiles we can apply and how fast we can repeat them
3. Peak-current duty cycle (square-wave)
Proposed procedure: as test 2 but using a square wave
Purpose: define the motor limits
