Dodgy irssi package doesn't work

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install irssi cygwin package. http://irssi.org/files/irssi-win32-0.8.12.exe
2. Install mintty rc4 into bin and edit irssi.cmd
3. launch and try to open options

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Nothing. Options simply does not display at all. I have to press esc to be
able to type in the window again. Can't access options from anywhere. Same
thing happened while using the right click menu.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Windows 7 x64
mintty rc4

Sorry, MinTTY is only supported for the official Cygwin distribution. That 
package
you linked to contains its own copy of Cygwin without sources or even a link to 
them,
which means it violates the GPL.

Cygwin actually has an official package for irssi anyway, to be found in the Net
category of setup.exe. Please try that.
