Changing category or language drop-down selection is also extremely slow can
take up
to 7 seconds. This is on Fedora 12.

Can you try the latest trunk of GGL? This issue should already be fixed in the
latest
trunk. We'll release a new version very soon.

It runs slowly in Debian x64. It was installed from Debian Sid. Please fixed it
as
soon as possible.

I'm running a fresh, brand spankin' new install of OpenSuse 11.2 64bit on an AMD
Athalon 64 X2 4400 w/2GB RAM, (I know, 64bit doesn't mean anything until I
exceed 4GB
RAM), and the Google Gadgets are still very slow. In the Gadget Browser, typing
in
the search is almost non-responsive. I have to wait several seconds for each
character I type to appear. Actually adding and removing gadgets is no better.
They
both do respond quite well to the "x" in the top right corner, though.
