According to its documentation, defun's return value is not defined.

Hey! Did not know that was the case, but the documentation makes it loud and clear. The same issue exists in dape-config form as well. Would you mind fixing those as well in the same pr?

This has changed on master so this PR is not needed anymore, but thanks for bringing it to my attention.
