Camera offset setting leads to old version of grbl on website( https://github.com/svenhb/GRBL-Plotter/wiki/Camera-setup ) , how can camera/tool offset be used with the current version ? its currently stuck with camera offset

I hope this helps: https://grbl-plotter.de/index.php?id=form-camera#fix-mounted

Where is your camera mounted? Fiexed= independend of XY-position, or mounted on XY-tool carrier? Or mounted on Z axis of tool? If it is mounted at the XY-tool carrier (like here https://grbl-plotter.de/index.php?id=form-camera#movable-mounted): image

Align camera as best as possible, do fine adjustment of rotation via image

Then do 'distortion correction' on 4 visible edges of the test pattern: image image

Then the pattern should be centered to the camera view. This only works on workpiece with same thickness (paper).

Our Camera is mounted on moveable xy. (Not placed on z plate) We want to fix (define) the distance between camera center and cutting tool center. But we can’t find tool coordinate and cam coordinate buttons.

The camera needs to point to the tool position - no need to switch positions Because you will get distortion, when pointing the camera towards the tool, you need to apply distortion correction: https://grbl-plotter.de/index.php?id=form-camera

Is it possible to use it as it was in your previous version , our camera and tool has a bit of distance between them and share no common perspective ? Anywhere in your code that we can hard code distance of our tool distance maybe ?

If you switch to "Camera mountetd on Z", you will get the menu item "Set offsets" and also the teach upper/lower position items... image image image

svenhb commented 2 years ago

If the camera is not moving with Z, you need to teach identical values for upper and lower position with same radii.
