Da bei einigen Usern die automatische Standorterkennung nicht funktioniert, soll dem nachgegangen werden. Möglicher Grund

Browser wie Chrome mag unsicherere Verbindung nicht. Mögliche Lösung: (1) SSL-Zerifikat beantragen (2) Domäne inkl. SSL-Zertifikat bei TUM beantragen

-> Beides sollte parallel verfolgt werden.

Das Problem besteht bisher "nur" bei Nutzern mit Chrome (höhere Version als 50). Hierbei wird eine Positionsübertragung nur noch mit einer gesicherten Verbindung erlaubt. Andernfalls können wir die GPS Daten der Nutzer nicht mehr anfordern.

Ich bin weiter dran mit der IT der TUM. Wie gemailt werde ich im September ggf. nach einem Zeitfenster fragen.

After some tests I cna confirm, that the issue is related to Chrome. By adding a SSL certificate, it is possible to grab those information within Chrome. Further tests need to be done on the "real" web application.

As expected, chrome is not able to get gps data from the non-secured (http) website. It is working with the secured one (https). But with that version, the map-service is not running properly (no map is shown).
