Complex passwords fail on LDAP (Bug #18210) #24

We utilize Sventon to communicate back to an SVN server which uses LDAP/Active 
Directory for it's authentication.
Certain characters (such as #) will cause Sventon to always fail authentication 
to the repository.
These password will function properly when logging directly into SVN, the 
failure only occurs when browsing via Sventon.

Either/both of the characters '^' and '&' exhibit similar symptoms. Login works 
correctly from command-line, but fails using Sventon.
