When I switch to another application, the current game continues to play in the background: music plays, game actions happen, etc.

OS: macOS 10.15.7 Catalina

This is as expected.

I recognize the need for some interactivity though. There's a Godot-based GUI version in the works, perhaps this should be addressed in it.
