We would like to make it public. For our code this would also be perfectly acceptable – except that this repository also contains code that we do not control: the stylesheets are based on a commercially acquired theme for Wordpress(?) and as such can't be redistributed as freely.
This was made clear in the LICENCE files in the previous iteration of this project (thalia/website). I will amend the README.

This project is labeled as Internal on GitLab, which means you can only see it if you're logged in. Why? Would there be a problem if it was made public? And if there is, I guess I could still just fork the repo and make it public, because the license permits that.
