Hi lighter866, thanks for creating the issue report. Please attach the
debug.log from PMS 1.50.1 too so I can compare :)

Sorry, wasn't thinking. Hope this will do.

Still the same with the 1.5.0 release. If I check the video scaler box in the
MEncoder settings, the video resolution sets to 3840x1078.

Hi, sorry for taking so long with this. I think I have fixed it now. Please try
this version to confirm:

Well, the video resolution settings seems to be correct now, 1920x1080, but I
get "Datatype not supported" (800288BC) from the PS3. Two tries, with restart
in between and it will not play. Maybe not the same problem? Other 3D movies
works fine.

Maybe I read something wrong the last time. I tried with 2.1 and now the
resolution sets to 1920x1078.

That's good, 1920x1078 means the fix is working

The fix might be working, but the file will still not play with 2.1.2.

Hmm must have been 2 bugs. I'll look at that now

Does it work if you go to C:\ProgramData\UMS\ and rename the UMS.conf file,
then start UMS? That will show us if it is a custom setting causing the bug.

No change, I'm afraid.

Perhaps this has something to do with the file extension. i'm guessing it's an
mkv, and PMS serves it as video/avi (you can check using the info button while
browsing the dlna share on your tv) while UMS serves it as video/x-matroska, a
mimetype samsung can't read. i think samsung does read video/x-mkv though. will
check later.:)

I have 2 versions of the movie, both mkv, and only one works. Now tried on
2.6.4 and on the 3.0 alpha. Debug files from 2.6.4

#13 - which one of the two MKV's work?
i see that one is coming from:
H:\FILM\Avatar.2009.3D.MULTi.1080p.BluRay.x264.iNTERNAL-PURE\Avatar.3D.2009.1080
p.BluRay.Full.SBS.DTS.x264\Avatar.3D.2009.1080p.BluRay.Full.SBS.DTS.x264.mkv
and the other is:
H:\FILM\Avatar.2009.3D.MULTi.1080p.BluRay.x264.iNTERNAL-PURE\Avatar.2009.3D.MULT
i.1080p.BluRay.x264.iNTERNAL-PURE\av3d-pure.mkv
One thing that i noticed off hand is these are long folder names... the first
one is being read as a 157 Character count and the second is being read as a
127 count.
Is there anyway you can take the firs movie out of its long folder and put it
into say "H:\Test\" and rename it to "Test.mkv"
and see if that movie will then play?
My thought process is that the character count of the file and location has a
limitation.

#13 - Also noticed one was 3D and the other was not...

Actually both are 3D. The working one with filename av3d-pure.mkv is 16:9 and
the not working one with the longer name is letterbox. I made a copy of that
one called D:\filmsaker\avatar.mkv and it still does not play. I started the
working one after that test, just for comparison.
Then I started PMS 1.50.2 SHB-37 and and ran
H:\FILM\Avatar.2009.3D.MULTi.1080p.BluRay.x264.iNTERNAL-PURE\Avatar.3D.2009.1080
p.BluRay.Full.SBS.DTS.x264\Avatar.3D.2009.1080p.BluRay.Full.SBS.DTS.x264.mkv
It starts with the long filename and the new copy with the shorter name also.

I've been facing the same problem attempting to transfer .mp4 files.
I've been using MEncoder Video as primary engine but it didn't work.
Trying to use AviSynth/FFmpeg and /MEncoder to see if it works.
I've 2 files both are movies in .mp4 1080 quality and won't work. Until
recently I've never had any troubles with my playstation doing this.
I've not altered much with pms settings so if you've suggestions please let me
know
Help would be appreciated.
