Plotting Auto Stopped #614

Open andyquek opened 3 years ago

Hi, I've been plotting with swar for a few days already and today i saw that the manager status change to stopped. I didnt know what happened so i restarted the plot manager again.

It completed two plots and had two running again. However, after 2-3 hours, i checked again it changed to stopped again after running two plots.

Do you guys know how can i check what caused the manger to auto stop?

My computer is running on 3600x with 32gb ram and a 1TB m.2 nvme. I'm plotting a max of 6 concurrent global plots and i've check that i should be able to have 6 plots given the number or core, ram. I managed to stagger my total plots on 1TB m.2 to 4 plots with no issue for several cycle.

My config.yaml: max_concurrent global plots: 6

Based in your configuration, look you run OutOfSpace into the temporal storage. Into 1TB temp disk only can put 3 plots at the same time, 4 with good delay, but NOT 6 as your configuration say.

If you run out of space, chia stop the process, waiting to recover, that is CHIA feature not Swar feature... take a look this, but my recommendation is move to 3 to avoid issues or 4 and monitoring the storage

Hi, I don’t know if I’m right but the max plot I put for that job is 4 so it doesn’t plot more than 4 in that single job even if the global is 6.

I also got the setting right to run 4 plots staggered in 1TB and it ran 4 plots for a few cycle already.

My m.2 was not fully filled when it stopped and I did not delete any temp files in order to start replotting.

Therefore I don’t think that is the issue

I have the same problem

I have the same Problem. It only starts a Single plot and than after about 10min the plotmanager stops itself. Since it only starts one plot i don't Think it is caused do to out of space/ram.

It seems like switching a Version back could fixed the Problem for me. (Runs now since two hours)
