To launch Putty you need to follow these instructions:

https://www.puttygen.com/download-putty Go to Download PuTTY for Mac and Installation Guide Section

You’ll need Mojave 10.14 OS, at least that was the case for me so I had to upgrade. (free)

Then once putty launches just follow the Swarm instructions and it’s easy. Took an hour to load 2 nodes.

You don't need putty on Mac, just use Terminal.app or Iterm2.
