Repo split: What to do about extras? #827

Extras contains material from a bunch of different areas, we need to consider how it will be handled after the split.

I think most of the stuff in 'extras' will wind up being separate stand-alone lessons; not worrying about it for now. (Need to extract the history for the core lessons first...)
