Did installing GitHub for Mac just work, or did you have to do this "install command line tools step"? https://github.com/blog/1510-installing-git-from-github-for-mac

@jiffyclub my experience is you also need to install the 'command line tools', not just Github for Mac

I didn't see the "install command line tools" step, but I wasn't watching all the time.
