Checksum question

Hi maintainers! Hopefully someone could help me with the most recent question on this video.

The question is as follows: Is there no checksum values available for the download? MD5? SHA1? SHA256?

I guess I could download it and calc the MD5 myself but not sure if that is the proper solution?
