shell rewrite #1

hi, i saw ur reddit post where u mentionned the few problems u were running into. i know how to fix them, as i've already implemented such things in shell. would you mind if i rewrite everything in posix shellscript, or would it be preferrable do to that in python?

Oh, hey! I use a lot of the stuff that you have written in shell, I learned a lot from looking at your shell code and took some inspiration from that. Feel free to rewrite it in whatever language you would like!
