How has the two-digit date format to be interpreted? #33

The spec says the date format is YYMMDD (Year, Month, Day). How must the year be interpreted? Is it always 20xx? Why is the date format not 4 digits?

Hi The reason for this is simple, there is a given total of 140 chars for the two parts of the info the biller can send to the payer. One part is the human readable text printed on the right of the QR code, the other part is this Swico-String. Therefore, it was mandatory to save space wherever possible. If you want, you can assume all years below e.g. 15 belong to 21.., but I doubt the QR bills will last that long :-)
