Didn't include much in the article about 'the main thing the projects teach is PRACTICAL skills' (e.g. differences between fastq file and bam file, how to deal with data).
Did come in with the theoretical knowledge (e.g. DNA/RNA & transcription/translation mechanics).
We should perhaps expand on this sentence as it mildly indicates that we did not gain practical skills
