Issue in one question in Workspace and files chapter #660

Swirl asked me to create a directory named "testdir" in the present directory and told me the syntax dir.create("testdir"), so when I typed it a warning message came which showed permission denied and from that I can't proceed further. After it is asking to set the directory to "testdir" which I can't set Screenshot attached. img_20171201_000930

Also having this issue! any pros out there have a solution?

I found a solution that will hopefully work for anyone else who has this issue:

  1. go to program files and locate the R program file (the overarching folder that has all the subfolders in it)
  2. click properties then go to security
  3. from the security settings, next to "to change permissions click edit", click the edit button and manually go through and allow all permissions for each group/username rthing
