Remove and ignore build directory #557

This avoids unnecessary merge-conflicts and other maintenance overhead.

This needs more review as removing the build folder may make distribution files unavailable for developers who download the styleguide archive (instead of using npm).

As a note, the build folder should be renamed to dist.

This issue has been stale for quite a while. I'm closing this unless you want me to update this PR.
