That would be great ! Maybe using this format http://www.oclc.org/developer/content/marc-json-draft-2010-03-11 ? Or http://www.bibjson.org/ ?

Hi Lionel,

thanks for feedback and hints to possible formats. (I ddn't know them) I just made a few experiments with simple transformations out of the box

I used a a) xml2json xslt script (http://www.bramstein.com/projects/xsltjson/) and b) made a first test with a java library (http://json-lib.sourceforge.net/) which I came across very quickly. I guess there might exist other one.

xslt is really slow (not acceptable) The java library needs quite some dependencies and I don't want to make the service too fat (at least at the moment)

And because I'm delayed with implementation I'm going to put back the idea - at least for the moment.

Sorry! But I think it would be definitely a very helpful for mots of the clients. I will pick up the idea later.
